After extensive field use by Supersoundandvideo of the LED312AS

we asked for several key changes to the lighting system

we felt the swivel mount needed a more robust socket, screw and tightening grip

we also felt the diffuser could be mounted with magnets and be thicker to diffuse better up close

we wanted the chassis to be a thicker grade of plastic and it was ALL DONE!!!

WE USE THEM EVERYDAY AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM

We also carry the LED209ASZ mid-size unit that is STACKABLE

NOTE: The Manufacturer has confirmed AC Adapter is NOT meant to be plugged in directly to the unit!! We have done this ourselves numerous times but it can burn out the charger NOT the light.

And that is the same for ALL THE OTHER SELLERS out there trying to sell this item 312AS ASZ 2nd Generation or any LED 312AS model that are being sold on , they all have the same adapter.

The AC adapter is designed for the charger only.

If you want to run this for long periods of time get some extra larger size Sony Style Batteries.

We did run the unit direct from the AC adapter for several hours a bunch of times and it was fine

but we will NOT do that anymore.

We have a bunch of NP-970's batteries we use and they last for 6-8hrs.

But they are heavy and awkward.
