This is a totally handmade precision bass built to resemble as much as possible to an original 1952 classic bass. It is not a Fender product, but details have been kept even more than in a current Custom Shop reissue.
Two pieces lightweight swamp ash body with historic correct 42mm. thickness (not (44mm. as current reissues) One piece maple neck with with 5mm. (not 6mm. ) skunk stripe and single action (no plastic inside) steel truss rod with adjustment at heel.
7 1/4 radius, new medium frets, chunky back profile.
100% vintage specs nitrocellulose finish. No tints were added, tanning are made with true UV light exposure. Real weather checking. In hand it looks like an original vintage finish...
The coil is a special order to http://www.jlguitars.com custom pickup maker. It It is a true left handed pickup with the magnets raised up for a left handed instrument. You can\'t find this kind of pickup for sale out there unless you make a custom order for it.
Made with the same specs as 50\'s pickup, Alnico magnets, scatter winding... It sounds as it has to sound.
Real Bakelite nitro lacquered pickguard.
Left handed slightly aged nickle hardware, true vintage steel bridge, CTS pots... I use the best stuff I\'m able to find for building my guitars and this bass it is not an exception. The bass is fully adjusted, the action is low and the sound is massive. You won\'t be dissapointed.
