Lord & Taylor NY Wedding Shoes w/ Museum Number & Note Dated September 3rd, 1913
Silk satin pumps with graceful Louis heels and the most beautiful opalescent glass beading, miraculously all intact. Silk satin bows at the vamps are just about perfect. The satin of the shoes has rubs here and there, visible upon close study and if the light is at the correct angle. The back of each shoe at the upper edge shows two thin lines of shatter. This can be left as is or mended by a shoemaker or restorer. Kid leather linings have identification numbers hand written in ink that has faded. Leather soles display a museum and/or collection number, and the soles are impressed LORD & TAYLOR, NEW YORK. The heel is 1 1/2" high and the shoe measures 10 1/2" toe to heel and 2 3/4" across the ball of the foot. A handwritten note was found inside the shoes, Wedding Shoes Sept. 3rd, 1913. These shoes are sturdy enough to be worn and they display magnificently. CONDITION REPORT: In very good antique condition! Please refer to condition description above, and to our photos which are part of our description. PRICED TO SELL. ! Avoid technical difficulties & disappointment...please offer early. Don't miss out.
