This is a lovelysolid silver pill or snuff box designed in the shape of a heart decorated witha gallant scene at the lid and garlands of flowers and scrolls to the lateralpanel. It has slightly domed hinged lid and wonderful gold gilding ‘Vermeil’interior. It is marked to the bottom (with rubbings due to its age) and to thelateral panel with French importation mark. It measures 1 13/16” long by 1 7/8”wide & 1” to the highest point, weight 35.8 grams.
