LOVELY LARGE VINTAGE FIJIAN TAPA (MASI) BARK CLOTH

Up for sale is this lovely, large, vintage tapa (masi) bark cloth from Fiji.

The cloth is made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree and hand-stencilled with geometric patterns.

This cloth is made from two horizontal panels or sections joined together as is how these cloths are usually made.

The central section haseight floral motifs, with some of them having small pieces glued on to possibly cover thinning areas.

Has been folded for storage.

Measures 182cm X 113cm
