Those interested in installing a performance cam are faced with either high priced aftermarket beehive springs or even more expensive dual spring kits.

Stock GM beehive springs are super wimpy, simply of no use with most aftermarket performance cams.

This kit was designed to replace those stock beehive springs perfectly, pretty much a drop in install.

Seriously, this kit does the job very well and is easy to install.

Our springs offer the desired 130 Lbs valve closed seat pressure (150% more then stock) and crank out 355 Lbs open pressure which are common "target" pressures for many high performance LS hyd roller cams.

Installation can be performed with heads either on or off the vehicle.

The parts in our kit are designed to replace the stock springs, retainers and locks perfectly.

Alex's springs have the same base diameter foot print so they replace the stock springs without incident. No special locators or spring base needed, use whats there.

Another nice feature is our retainer design. Not only is it lightweight but it typically will produce the correct installed height right out of the package.

Tests have proven time & time again, target installed heights normally fall right into place. (*see note)

*NOTE: This kit is intended for use with factory stock heads & valves. Heads with aftermarket valves should verify their installed heights. Cams with over .575" lift should also verify spring installed height just to be sure. Heads which have had a valve job may require shims to correct for material lost during machine work to valves and seats. This kit is not for really big cams. Large cams may want to consider one of our dual spring kits. If you're not sure what spring pressures your cam needs, consider checking with us first.
