This beautiful jacket was faithfully reproduced for the \'Boomtown\' collection of the recent LVC fall/winter 2013 season. It is made from mid-weight sheep skin leather which has been washed and hand distressed to match the original jacket in Levi\'s historical archives.The Leather side features the finest mid-weight, rich brown sheepskin leather in Italy, washed and hand distressed. Half belted with side cinch buckles for a slim fitted silhouette boasting a stylish tall front waist band and an arched and cropped rear waist hem. The fit of this jacket is incredible!
The Cotton side features washed 100% cotton twill outer with a half belt and 1930\'s style expansion gusset on the back.

more on fit:I\'m a true medium, in the fit pictures categorized under the item variation size small, I am wearing the size small being sold here, likewise, in the fit pictures for the size medium, I am wearing the size medium being sold here. I am 6ft tall, 170 lbs, and my chest measures 41\" around, the small size fits me snug with a fitted silhouette but with the give of the soft sheepskin leather and the cotton lining, I am able to move comfortably and with ease. There is significant stretch available. If it fits snug it will stretch and mold to your form. The size medium fits me very well with room for layering and comfortable movement. With the stretch of the soft sheepskin leather and cotton lining, and the expansion available from the expandable pleats or narrowing the silhouette with the side cinch buckles-- this jacket is versatile enough to size up or down with, while still achieving a desirable fit. Please refer to fit pics and actual measurements for further details on fit.

After closer investigation into this archival piece, our designers found that this jacket was reversible leather on one side and cotton twill on the other- something rare in the 1930’s. The slim-fitting, rich brown leather side has two welt pockets at waist and one welt pocket on the chest with a button closure, a Norfoc (defined waistline) back with waist adjusters in a distressed finish. The thick, cotton twill side features leather trimmings on the two welt pockets on each side and the welt pocket on the chest. This side also features a Norfoc back and an action pleat at center back. Button cuffs and a Talon auto-lock reversible slider zipper are on the jacket and it is made in Italy.
