Ladle Hand Hewn Carved Wood Treen Treenware Primitives Real Hardwood Home Decor For Sale
Here is one of my original, hand-hewn, wooden ladles. This is not an antique. It is real treen, hand carved by myself. I am a woodwright, woodcarver, and artist in several mediums, as well as a seller of collectibles, etc./
This ladle is made of real hardwood. Ladles are one variety of treen. The word treen means something that is made from a tree./
This rustic ladle is made of rock maple (also called sugar maple) from the Maine woods. The knots, surface cracks, unevenness, tool marks, etc., in it make it look very rustic and primitive. It is approximately 11 1/4" long, and has a leather thong for hanging it up, if that is desired./
The only finish applied to this ladle is food safe mineral oil, so it can be used in cooking, as well as for home decorating. I would say that it stands as authentic treenware, from an old-fashioned standpoint, as well as from a modern one./
I make my treenware with the intention of giving each individual piece its own character and eye appeal./
Shipped to you promptly by priority mail.
