We are offering for sale a fantastic quality Georgian periodsilver milk jug or cream pitcher.

This large, boat-shapedjug has a nice solid feel in the hand and superb chased decoration in the form of embossedflowers and scrolls to the outside. It has a single reeded handle, reeded top mount, stands on four ball feet and a sign of its high quality is the gilt (gold-wash) interior. There is a vacant cartouche to the front which has never been engraved.

The quality is of the highest order throughout and it is in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair.

MEASUREMENTS: 10.3cm (4.1\") high; 15.3cm x 8cm(6\" x 3.1\");375mls (0.7 pints) volume;149grams (4.8 tr.oz.) weight.

MARKS: Full set of English hallmarks (guaranteeing Sterling 925 standard silver) for London 1810, made by Alexander Field.
