Large Japanese Meiji Period Fukagawa Porcelain Bowl w/ Characters:

This large Japanese bowl is decorated with above and under glaze painted character scene and floral designs. The outer body is decorated with above and under glaze painted flowering tree branches. It is nicely highlighted with gold gilt. It has a Fukagawa mark on the bottom and dates from the Meiji period . It measures approximately 6 + 3/8 inches high and 15 + 3/8 inches in overall diameter. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a few blemishes and light wear on the gilt.
