This sale features the pictured Portfolio of Photographs of the World's Fair, from the 1893 Chicago Exposition, the Columbian World's Fair.

This portfolio comes in large hardcover with 10 sections each containg different highlights of the fair.Thisis packed with photos in amazing detail of the Exposition. Each sectionis noted as Art series 1-10. This portfolio contains sections 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10 and each section contains approximately 16 photographs or drawings.
A sampling of pages from all books are pictured.
Very large size, Hard cloth bound cover with gold letteringmeasuring approximately 12" X 15". Each booklet 13 1/2" X 11".
There is wear to the cover with staining and marks, with edge and corner wearas seen. Fading to the gold lettering.
The individual sections exhibit edge and corner wear to varing degrees, Toning to the edges of the covers, light edge chipping on some covers. some small splitting of cover seams one has a large split.Cover of vol 1 away from the pages.A few pages have corner folds. Thereis no ink or marks on any of the pages that I can see. There is some staining to some of the pages but I did not see any extend to any pictures. I have showed this in a few of the pictures. A couple have slight ripples on the bottom and one has a bit of the red dye transfered from the cover on the bottom of the pages but does not extend to the pictures.
This portfolio is 119 years old and is a gem of a World's Fair collection!
