This large Tibetan Buddhist tantric magical VAJRA (DORJE/PHURBA) is made of brass (central middle rod that almost cannot be seen in this picture is made of iron). It is seven pronged from the sides. This vajra is symmetrical from all sides so it looks similar from other sides. In Buddhism and Hinduism; vajra is believed to be associated with power and well being. It is used to ward off evils in tantric rituals. In Buddhist tantra, the word "vajra" sybolizes "zero or void" which cannot be cut or destroyed. Vajra destroys all evils. Possession of this religious ancient weapon destroys all kinds of ignorance. Vajra is weapon of God Indra who rules universe.
