Late 1920's Gibson L 3 Archtop Guitar With Original Case For Sale
Up for offer is an all original Gibson L 3 Acoustic Guitar. This guitar dates from around 1928-1929. This is from the post Loar Era. I has an original truss rod and adjustable bridge. The guitar shows much wear but it crack free. There is a screw hole in the top from a pickup that was mounted at one time. The neck is straight with ebony finger board. The original frets show wear but are still playable. The peghead has the straight across Gibson Pearl logo. It still sports the original engraved tuners. The guitar has had no repairs or refinishing. There is much finish wear as shown in the Pictures. The original pickguard is missing the bracket that attaches the pickguard to the waist of the guitar. The pickguard is still firmly attached by the neck brads. The original label is intact but the serial number has long ago faded out and is unreadable. The guitar comes with the original case that is missing the handle. The rest of the case shows wear but is still usable. This is a cool old Gibson that is in good shape and plays well. As the guitar is 80 plus years old it is being sold as is with no guarantees or returns. Winner to pay $40.00 dollars shipping in the lower 48 states.
