Made at Foster Lane in London,by Lawrence Coles, in 1702.
AVery Good SilverTrefid Spoon. Made inLondon, in 1702, by Lawrence Coles. A Britannia Standard Silver Spoon with a Reeded Rat Tail Bowl. Crested to the Terminal with TwoOstrichFeathers and a Mythical Creature. Not the best spoon but with some charm.
Grimwade says "From the surviving appearances of of his mark it is clear that Coles was a specialist spoonmaker".
The Marks: OK.
The Spoon: Good Condition. Some pin prick dinks to the bowl.
