This lovely clock is fully functional."This alarm clock may be wound once every eight days, and once correctly set the alarm will ring automatically for 10 seconds every day at the proper hour. The alarm will not ring if flattened button on the left side of the back is in the 'stop' position" (Le Coultre 240 Booklet).The 12, 3, 6, and 9 are marked with raised bold gold tone bars; all others hours are marked with dark thin lines. In addition gold tone dots mark each hour. The hands are gold tone pencil shape with luminous centers at the end of each. The alarm set is in a sub dial at the top of the dial right under the 12 o'clock position. This clock comes with the original instruction booklet, the Certificate of Particulars, and felt bag and the box.
