Leitz Leica Early And Rare Black Rim Chrome Summar 50mm F2 1933:
LeitzLeicaearly and rarechrome black rim Summar 50mm (5cm) F2 fast lens. This is one of the earliest collapsible Summars (after the introduction of the rigid Summar) with serial number 193449 from 1933. In good condition showing signs of use with the usual light front lens cleaning marks common to this type of lens. Distance scale in feet.
Aperture and focus are smooth. No oil on aperture blades. No haze or fungus.
Complete with Leitz felt lined lens cap in black. There does not appear to be general agreement why Leitz introduced for a very short time these black rimmed lenses.
