Lg. Ideal 27” Shirley Temple Possibly Restored Vintage Doll For Sale
Shirley is a big girl and I think an 82 Ideal Collector’s Series doll. Small tag was found in a box with several dolls, loose, so I am not sure that it came off this doll, but there was not another Shirley. Otherwise, I have no other facts, but the doll is marked Ideal. She is clean, has a mohair wig, uncombed, some frizzes, nice facial details, bright coloring. There is some paint wear to the joints, (most at leg balls) think the doll is a modern version of painted composition, she does not appear to be plastic, and is heavy! Her leather outfit appears to be factory, the shirt, kerchief, and shorts, might be mommy made, not sure but they are suspect, perhaps I am wrong.Have never seen this doll before, but she sure is cute. Cannot find her in any book. Doll is brightly colored and expressive. Both her back totsoand neck are marked, the neck marking says Ideal, back, Shirley Temple. Her outfit is in good shape, and there are no cracks about the doll, just some paint rubs around the joint areas, few minor scruffs. No smells. She has a holster assembly. If she had a hat, it was missing. She wears fringed cowboy boots. She is loosely strung, and is hard to photograph, flops around! Great expressive life like eyes. Found tag will be included. Beneath her chaps are olive heavier cotton longish shorts. Her legs slide into the roomy leather chaps, like a leg would a pant. The chaps tie at the back, the holster belt has a buckle. Blouse has front button closures. Because she needs to be strung and is so tall, I will ship her knocked down to make for a smaller box.Sweet!
I just tore off her head, and added two photos. This may be an older doll that has been restored, not a clue!
