Thisbeautiful belt buckleis part of an estate collection from a collector who bought many pieces of Old Pawn jewelry in the 1960\'s and 1970\'s and did not wear them. He just collected them. Thislarge belt buckle still has its pawn tag from 1972. Most of the piecesdo not have metal or makers marksbut it is not unusual for NativeAmericanjewelry of this era to be unmarked.Also, please noteI havecleaned the pieces of jewelry rather than leave themunpolished since most people like to wear the vintage jewelry they buy.
This is agorgeous and large vintage sterling silver, natural turquoisebelt buckle. It has its original pawn slip. The tape had already loosened, otherwise if it were still attached, I would nothave cleaned it.It has an old price tag for $1630.00.
It is not marked as to maker or metal content. As to metal content, it does test as sterling silver, except for the hook and catch on the back that are made of alpaca metal (nickel alloy). That is done for strength.
The belt buckle measures about 4\" incheslong by 3\" inches wide. Thebelt buckle weighs about110.2grams. It is invery goodcondition. One of the stones has a craze.
