Due to the care Pride Packing takes with packaging furniture, the rural area in which we live & the amount of furniture to be shipped, on rare occasion the wait time is 20 days. We are the largest source of used Ethan Allen & Tell City Chair Company in the country! We have many direct sales in addition to . We work 7 days a week to get orders out as soon as possible without compromising the quality. Furniture cannot be rushed if it is to be appropriately packed.

We quickly learned furniture requires more if it is to arrive intact. We have shipping strategies exclusively designed over years of preparing furniture for freight. Packing is done in the Surgery & Delivery rooms of the former hospital. Your furniture will be packed with surgical precision. The freight truck loads where ambulances previously arrived. Most buyers are unaware of the labor & time involved in preparing furniture for safe arrival. Large furniture items like china cabinets take over 8 hours to prepare. The minimum packing time for a simple rectangular piece of furniture is 2.5 hours. Handling furniture is labor intensive & time consuming.

Larger items are slightly more depending on size. If you wear a seat belt when you travel, you should consider PROTECT IT for your furniture's trip.

Additional services are not included in the freight charges. The personnel at your local terminal will agree to additional work but they are not aware of the terms of this sale. Nothing beyond your pick up at the terminal is included. If you want additional work done on your end you must pay for the extra service. You are being charged the actual rate so there are no funds available for anything extra.

FURNITURE PICK UP
* We offer a generous 90 days of free storage for furniture pick-up. We gladly give extensions based on your travel plans & weather. After 90 days storage charges of $25.00 a month per item apply if you have not contacted us to make further arrangements.
If you pick up your furniture you pay sales tax.
* If you are picking up your furniture immediately you need to bring cash.
* Please schedule a pick up time so we can have your purchase easily accessible. We prefer at least a 24 hours notice.
You are welcome to use your own shipper. We are a small company in a little town. If you own a large business you may have a better shipping rate. Your carrier would pick up at the North Wing - Sargent District Hospital 1201 W Main Street Sargent Ne. 68874. You would not pay our freight invoice as you would be paying your freight company. We need a copy of your BOL for our records.
Murphy's Law! We have loaded a piece out of one of our buildings, driven to Manor House to end the sale. We find the sale & someone else has purchased the exact item. Although this is a rare event, it has happened. We refund your payment in full.
Ownership of the item transfers to the buyer with payment. It is your responsibility to inspect your freight thoroughly at the terminal & note any dents, gouges, tears in outer layers, broken wood in pallet, or any other areas of rough handling. It is essential you note areas of concern on the bill of lading above your signature. Example: dented right corner
* All insurance proceeds go to the buyer. We do not reimburse for damage caused in transit, replace the item or refund the purchase price. Insurance serves this purpose. To access insurance funds you must fill out & return all required EARTHJUNK forms at your earliest possible convenience so your insurance claim can be initiated. All insurance claims require the buyer's signature on a Fraud Prevention Statement.
It is the buyer's responsibility to save all packaging materials & boxes, save the damaged item(s), take photos of damage & complete the required paperwork within 15 days. You must cooperate with the shipping company/insurance company/seller when or if they contact you for additional information, to schedule pickup, to inspect the items(s) or any other information needed to complete/process your claim.
Processing the claim is a teamwork effort between the buyer, the shipping company, the insurance company and the seller. The buyer information must be submitted first as you are in possession of the damaged item.(s) We can not file your claim until you complete all required paperwork, take photos & mail it to us. Your designated time frame to complete initial paperwork is 15 days or less.
