Verso with Latin text. This engraving used to be part of an edition of Basilius Beslers (1561 Nuremberg 1629) famous botanical publication "Hortus Eystettensis", dating back to the baroque period, including 367 copper engravings which depict 1.084 different plants/species. The first edition was published in 1613, followed by several later ones up until around 1750, always using the same printing plates.
