The terms 'damage' or 'significantly not as described' would not cover very minor wear alluded to, but not specifically outlined, in the condition report (i.e. 'near mint'), nor the presence of common artifacts from production methods such as small imperfections in handmade glass or pottery.
We take attributions seriously at Wilson & Coleman, and have a sizeable library of reference literature to draw upon when it comes to describing what we sell.
If you see an item with a definitive attribution you know that we're as certain as we can be. If we've exhausted all the options, and there remains a small element of doubt, we will refer to the item as 'after' the designer or manufacturer, or append '(attrib.)' to their name.
But no one is infallible, and even the best reference sources can contain mistakes. To this end, we offer a twelve month full money-back guarantee for any items discovered to be by a manufacturer or designer other than that stated. The refund will include your original postage costs and costs you incur when returning it. The item must be received by us in the condition by which it was sold.
To qualify, you must have purchased an item with a definitive attribution within the last 12 months, and you will be required to provide written evidence that our information is incorrect from a reputable source, such as a specialist sale house or authoratitive dealer, or to direct us to a printed source, such as a respected book on the subject.
All eligible items are marked with a gold 12-Month shield on the sales page.
