Linthorpe Pottery Slipware Pot By Florence Minto (? Christopher Dresser Design?):
This is a fabulous little slip ware pot from the LinthorpePottery - I think it isby Florence Minto who I understand was a colleague of Christopher Dresser.
It is well marked with the Linthorpe stamp and has the Roman numeral 'I' above the initials F.M. and the number 627.
It is delicatelypainted with leaves over dark stemswith white 'flowers'. It hasreal life and lustre to it.
The pot is invery good original condition. I have looked closely and can find no chipsor cracksapart fromsome minute nicks in the rim which can only be found by running a finger nail around the rim. The glaze is slightly crazed but this is something I believe you could expect to see on pottery of this age. There are a couple of small firing blemishes - a bubble & an indent - but in overall lovely condition.
Measures approximately 7cmtall, 10cm across at the widest point, 6.3cm across base &the internal opening. The rim is approxiamtely 3mm thick. Weighs 222g.
Payment by PayPal only please.
Please feel free to ask a question if there is anything else you need to know - I have very little knowledge of this type of pottery.
Thank you for looking.
