These cars are so absolutely beautiful you would swear they were re-painted..they are not! 40 years ago when I was a teenager I answered a for-sale ad in the Phildaelphia Inquirer and ran down to the west side of the city and purchased these from the original owner. He said they used them once under the Christmas tree and then put them away and forgot about them until I bought them. I never ran them or touched them after all these years. These cars are gorgeous...like new! There may be a pinpoint fleck of paint missing on a car but you have to really look to find it. These highly detailed photos show the spectacular condition of these trains. You won't find a nicer set unless you find them mint in the boxes..good luck with that! There is only one box for these cars. The box is a C-9 with one torn inner flap.

Last September I sold my massive 35 year collection of Lionel trains at sale. I owned virtually one of every train Lionel produced in O gauge (pre-war & postwar), & Standard Gauge including all rare variations. I thought I sold the last few items that I forgot to give that saleeer on last week. I was wrong! I just found ten large boxes full of mostly boxed postwar and some premium grade pre-war trains in the back of a closet. I collected trains that were in like new condition in postwar, and pre-war trains that were in excellent plus or better condition. You "MUST" check my other sales to see what I have left. There are quite a few rare and scarce items remaining and I will sell them all this week on .

All sales won over the amount of $25.00 must be insured by the winning buyer. If you notice shipping charges that appear slightly high it is because the insurance charges are included in 's shipping & handling costs by me. All electronic items,pottery & glassware,and fragile items must be insured by the buyer.Insurance will be included in the handling price of those items. I do not make money on shipping! If for any reason charges you too much for shipping I will refund the overpayment back to you through PAYPAL. I ship US Mail Only. For very small items I use US Postal Priority Mail boxes and shipping will be Priority Mail only. For Small packages over 8-12 inches I will offer the option of Priority Mail Shipping or Parcel Post. For large boxes over 12 inches I will always send Parcel Post but I will offer Priority Mail if the buyer requests it.

I do not accept returns on my items if a person states to me that the condition is not as described. You as a buyer must judge the quality of the items I sell by my highly detailed photographs.
