Founded by Auguste Agassiz in Saint-Imier, Switzerland,in 1832

Year of manufacture: unknown,probably around 1954.

The diameter of thestainless steel round shaped case with stainlesssteel snap back is 37mm not including the crown. Full length is 46mm. It is 18mm wide between the lugs.

Specifics of this model:

1 - One of the most attractive oversizedCalatrava\'s I have ever seen, with Art Deco fat numbers.

2 - High grade, 17jewels Longines 12.68Z manual wind movement, entirely conceived and made byLongines and one of the most desirable watch movements of that era.

3 - Big attractive case, all stainlesssteel. 37mm in diameter, without including the crown.

The crystal: is Plexiglas/plastic. It is in excellentcondition, with no ugly scratches, no cracking and no glazing.

The high quality Swiss made, state of the art Longines, Rhodium orchromium finished, entirely conceived and built by Longines at its premises.

Service history:

It was subject to aC.L.A. (cleaning, lubrication and adjustement) job by a trusted watchmaker inMarch of 2016.

For those of you who mightnot know what a C.L.A. job means, it involves the disassembling of the watch mechanismand having it cleaned in a specific machine with special liquids to remove dryoil and dirt. Afterwards the movement is lubricated with the proper oils andadjusted after being tested in a vibrograf machine. In practical terms it meansthat you can use the watch every day without fear that the lack of lubricationwears the movement pieces.

Thecase was professionally polished. The old crystal was replaced by a new one atthe same time.

Working condition:

Working very well.

1 - Time setting and winding are bothsmooth.

2 - starts when wound, it is notnecessary to shake it.

3 - runs very strong

To get you a clearer picture of how the watch will behave, I tested thehome testing: I and test it against a watch that I know is correct. For this Ipurpose I use a web page that provides the exact time. I check the deviationafter 12 and 24 hours. The results for thiswatch after 12 hours: -09 seconds and after 24 hours: -22 seconds.

These home tests are not a warranty of repeatability or accuracy.Actually wearing the watch in the wrist will get you different results forsure. No matter how good the test results may look, the watch is sold as is,without any sort of warranty.

1 - Thewatch should not be used in the water! All diving watches, even recent, shouldbe sent for a qualified water sealing service each year prior to diving season.

2 - Any acrylic or metallic display thatmight appear in the pictures is not included in the sale!
