Lot 4 Antique/Vintage Face Powder Boxes, DuBarry/Exotique/Shari/Langlois, Armand:

Welcome to this sale! This is a nice lot of vintage powder boxes.

The floral silk box is empty and is called Shari by Langlois.
The bottom says “Rachel Light”. It’s in excellent vintage
condition, with a little wear around the bottom edges.

The red box is empty and is called DuBarry by Richard
Hudnut. The color of the powder was “BRUNETTE (Rachel)”.
This box has some fading, a little wear around the edges,
and age stains.

The black and orange box is full, and says “Exotique” and
“Tussy” around the top rim. The bottom says “Lesquendieu”,
“Natural (Flesh)”, and “$1.00”. It also has three paragraphs
that describe the powder. This box is in very good condition
with the exception of a spot that looks as if a sticker were
removed. It shows a little bit of white, but this could be
covered with a black permanent marker.

The salmon-colored checkered box is full, unopened and
comes with the original insert. It is Armand Cold Cream
Powder. The sticker on one side says “TINT WHITE”; the
sticker on the other side says “Armand’s Little Hat Box” and
“Printed in USA”. The bottom has a patent date of 2-24-20
and a price of $1.00. It also says “This style box adopted
Jan 12, 1916, Made in U.S.A.” This box is in very good
condition, with some age spots.

item until it is sold, therefore I have to estimate the weight and
measurements of the package. Sometimes the shipping charge I quote
will be a little less than what I actually pay (this is usually the case), and
sometimes it will be a little more.

International: International buyers please note: The shipping rate
quoted above is for shipment within the continental United States only.
If the delivery address will be outside of the continental United States,
please email me for a quote. Also, I cannot falsify customs forms,
so please don\'t ask. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure that this item is allowed
to be shipped into your country, and I recommend that you check to
see what the customs fee would be (if any) before you offer on this item.

Loss or Damage in Transit: I\'m sorry but I can\'t be responsible for a
package once it has been shipped. If you do not receive a package I\'ve
sent, I will file a claim for you with the shipper. In the unlikely event that
an item has been damaged in transit (and if you have purchased insurance)
please keep: 1) the box or package, 2) the packing material, and 3) the
broken item. Take all these to the post office and file a claim for damage.
I will supply all the information needed to support the claim.
