Lot 6 Alaska Eskimo Dolls Handmade Boots Fur For Sale
Selling is a lot of vintage Eskimo handmade dolls with a couple extras added. The lot includes:
1. This doll is standing in front of the frame tanning a hide. The hide is torn. The figure is wearing furs and has a painted wood face. The figure measures 5" tall the stand is 7". The condition of the doll is very good.
2. The next item is a fur, hide and bead drum. The strings coming out of the center of the beaded area show it may have been part of an Eskimo toy. It measures 2" tall and 2" across. The condition is good.
3. Also included with the lot is a pair of doll hide and fur boots. The boots measure 3" long where the foot goes and 3" tall. They are in good condtiion.
4. This doll is dressed in dark furs with a beaded belt and hide and fur boot. He measures 10" tall. His face is made from some kind of pottery that has been painted. His condition is good with some fur loss on the boots.
5. The next doll has light woven wool clothes with dark fur accents. The face is wood or cork with an ink face. The doll measures 8" tall. The condition of the doll is good.
6. This doll has a light wool coat with light fur trim and tied leather belt. The face is hide with ink details. The boots are also hides. The doll measures 8". The condition is good with some wear especially to the boots.
7. This is a half doll made of white hide, fur hair and an embriodery face on felt. This half doll sits on a half round furskirt with bead designs. This doll is 5 1/2" tall. The condtiion is good with some darkening to the white hide.
8. The last doll on the stand features a wood face and hands. The shirt is muslin cloth and has a hood. The bottom is a fur pouch. The doll measures 4" tall. It is in good condition.
This is a neat lot of various vintage Eskimo dolls to add to your collection.
