Offered here for your offerding fun is this lot of two vintage dolls in regional costumes representing Germany and Sweden! I believe these souvenir dolls are made from celluloid, or in the case of the larger doll, perhaps some other thin hard plastic. Their clothes are sewn on preventing a look for a maker\'s mark, but my guess is that they both were produced in Germany. Both are jointed at the shoulders and hips and have pretty molded features that are hand painted. Both girls wear long braids--a blonde and a brunette. The taller of the two wears a colorful Swedish costume of many layers. Her cotton and felt outfit is adorned with a abundance of trims--lace, ribbons, embroidery and metallic cord. She even has a pretty red heart on her lacy apron. The little Black Forest doll wears a traditional straw hat trimmed with fuzzy pom-poms, and likewise, her costume boasts several pretty trims. Her red apron is tagged \"Gutacherin\" for \"Black Forest.\" They are a sweet pair!
