Lot Of 10 Vintage Mid 1960s Single Line Kluson Tuners, Fender, Straight Shafts For SaleThis sale is for a lot of 10 vintage Kluson "single line" tuners from the mid 1960s. These came out of some boxes from an old music store that closed years ago. I do not know the exact year or type of guitar they came from. On the bottom they are stamped "D-169400" and "PATENT NO". Theylook exactly like the tuners on a 1964 Fender Stratocaster, except they have straight shafts. The other vintage Kluson tuners I have sitting around all have shafts that taper near the top of the shaft where the strings insert. So, I don't know if these are for Fender guitars. The tuning key shafts are straight and they all turn relatively smoothly; some have more resistance than others. Most of the tuners are in good shape for their age, some scratches, a few have minor corrosion, but no rust. Overall they are in good shape for old vintage parts. One of the tuners if for the bottom tuner, or low E string on a 6 per side set. The other 9 are middle tuners. Two of the tuners have one side of the top string tabs broken off. If you need a complete set, I probably have some Kluson parts from a top tuner (high E) that I could include in the sale. You would need to take the tuners apart and swap parts to make it work.
If anyone has any additional information on what year Fender (or other guitar) these tuners would be correct for, please let me know.
