How does combined shipping work for the Continental 48 United states?

Shipping combines automatically when you proceed through checkout.

We do combine shipping on 99.9% of all orders, however a few items are
very heavy and can not be combined.
Examples of some items that can not be combined are weight lifting
equipment, full cases of shampoo,
large pet carriers, etc

Your order will combine at checkout. The checkout will take the
heaviest item you have and use that as the first item. Then it will
add $1 shipping for each additional item. All items with free shipping
WILL NOT be charged shipping unless you order PRIORITY shipping.

Please note the only option for shipments to Alaska or Hawaii is USPS
priority mail.
