You are offerding on a lot of 650+ botanical prints from the New Series of William Curtis\' Botanical Magazine, all in very good to excellent condition, with no foxing, staining, or other major flaws. The prints in this lot were published from 1948 through the early 1980s, with most concentrated in the 1960s and 1970s (11 prints of bamboo and ginger are from 1995).Prints include spring bulbs (tulip, crocus, narcissus, muscari, scilla, etc.), orchids, trees and berries, lilies, rhododendrons, and many more. A small percentage are double/fold-out prints which will have vertical fold marks (as published). There are two copies of roughly 20-30 prints; the rest are unique (est. 667 prints in total). Some of the famous botanical artists who worked on this series include Margaret Stones, Stella Ross-Craig, Lilian Snelling, Mary Grierson, Pandora Sellars, and Christabel King.The average size of the prints is 6-1/2\" x 10\". The margin where the print was disbound may be slightly ragged, with minimal paper handling. Overall the prints are extremely clean and in great condition, with no marks, stains or foxing. We were selling these prints in the $25-45 range for many years, so this is a great opportunity to acquire a large lot of Curtis botanicals at a great price!
