A Lovely Group of

5Jointed Peg Wooden Dolls

All 5 dolls measure between

9 1/2 -10 inches / 24.2-25.4cm high.

c.1900

While these dear little dolls have been waiting their turn

to be listed on , they've beenon my desk

standing together in a clear glassvase.

I'll be sad to say goodbye to this wonderful

bouquet of wooden dolls!

Carved in the Grodner Tal region of Austria,

Sonneberg, or Nurnberg region of Germany.

Jointed at her shoulders,hips & knees.

Four have blue painted eyes (1 with black eyes), all

have pinkpainted cheeks, red lips, black painted hair,

carved noses & white washed lower arms & legs.

They all have red painted slippers, except

the man who has black painted shoes.

He is dressed in a red felt coat, black felt hat,

and 2-piece brocade fabric outfit.

Three of the dolls have remnants of hats,

which suggests they too may once have been dressed.
