Lovely Vintage Retro Pretty Spanish Girl Plaster Head Wall Plaque 1950s Kitsch For Sale
You are invited to offer on this lovelyvintageretro plaster ware wall plaque dating to approximately the 1950s. It is in the form of a pretty young Spanish girl's head. It is very well modelled and painted. She has such a pretty face with smoky brown eyes, rosebud lips and black hair peeping out from under her hat. She is wearing a bright read hat set at a jaunty angle, with black ties under her chin anda yellow flower on the brim. She has a blue, red and white gingham collar at her neck. She is very kitsch looking and typically 1950s. There is a metal loop fastened into the plaster at the back to allow it to be hung easily.
The plaque measures 5.5" tall, by almost 4" across, by 2" deep. It bears no maker's mark. It needs a little TLC - there is some chipping to the brim and top of the hat, to the hair, and to the tie and collar. I think these bits could easily be touched up and her appearance improved. Fortunately there is no damage at all to her face. There is also a little loss to the back by the metal loop.
A lovelyvintageretro piece.
Over the next few weeks, I will be listing more retro pottery, kitchenalia & plaster wall plaques,so please keep an eye on my other sales.
