M1 Carbine Ww2 New Replica 50 Round Empty Ammo Box (3 Pcs) - Pc, Wra Or Lc Label:
Up for your consideration is a reproduction M1 carbine 50 round ammunition box, with eitherWINCHESTER (WRA), LAKE CITY (LC),or KINGS MILLS (PC) labels. Winchester Repeating Arms was the manufacturer responsible for the development of the M1 Carbine, as well as the .30 Carbine round, and did manufacture various types of small arms ammunition during WW2. However, the Lake City Ordnance Plant, owned and operated by Remington, was the firstammunition plant built that took raw materials in one end and sent finished rounds out the other. The largest percentage of carbine ammunition produced in WW2 came from Lake City, and productioncontinued well into the 1960s.The Kings Mills Ordnance Plant was also owned by Remington, and after starting with .45 ACP ammunition early in the war, was converted to carbine ammunition production in order to help meet demand. By the time the Kings Mills plant had closed in 1944, it had produced almost as much carbine ammunition as Lake City.
These cartons are identical copies of original 50 round ammunition boxes in my collection, and are the perfect finishing touch to your carbine. If you reload carbine ammunition, what better place to store your finished rounds? If you do reenacting, here's a great way to carry your blanks, or if you have a display, what better way to fill your spam can. You can even feel a little more historic at the range with your "War Baby" when you load your magazines from authentic cartons. I am the proud owner of my own 1944 NPM, and it just didn't seem right to store my ammunition in anything besidesauthenticboxes. So, I had these made.
Each"Buy It Now"single purchase is for3 unassembled cartons with the same label and lot number. You can choose from an early"LAKE CITY ORDNANCE PLANT"label, mid-war "KINGS MILLS ORDNANCE PLANT" label or later"WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS"label. The lot number is hand stamped on the lid prior to shipping, either matching my original boxes, or if you prefer, I can match the lot number of a spam can or crate that you may have. I can also add the repack overstamp that is commonly found on original boxes, as shown in several of the photos, with any date requested. The cartons will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions, and the shipping is free within the U.S. I had a lot of these made, so if you want multiple sets, justchange the sale quantity before you click on the "Buy It Now" button. The photos show my original boxes, along with the matching replicas. Several photos show a spam can with cartons inside. I even stamped a few cartons to match the lot number on the can. The last few photos show the easy assembly, and the final photo shows how the original boxes were packed at the plant.
