Note: LMR barrels were manufactured by Southern gun nuts in Birmingham, Alabama, who pledged to produce the finest M1 barrel made. They succeeded, and LMR barrels are noted for their exceptional accuracy. As a matter of fact, U.S. military armorers scoured the system well into the 1980s trying to locate LMR barrels as replacements for SA National Match barrels. This barrel is of match quaility and would be a superb shooter; it would go a long way to helping you win theJohn Garand match.
The punch mark is in the loop of the stamped P, so this barrel came off of an HRA rifle. It wouldbe a an excellent choice to restore your HRA rifle in the 5.57M to 5.65M ranges. Put your offer in for this nice piece of American history!

I cleaned off some old powder residue on the breech area (the shiny area), and there is a tad of old corrosion visible now. It is very small, and is hardly noticeable. I only mention it for full disclosure. The tiny area will not affect mounting, functioning, or accuracy of the barrel.
