M1916 Holster For 1911 A1 Colt .45 Acp World War I Issue 1917 Warren Leather:
This is an excellent example ofa rare Warren Leather Goods Co. M1916 holster issuedduring World War ( 1 )One.
The leather is still strong and supple and all the stitching is tight. Both of the front and rear drain hole brass is in nice shape and the webbed belt brass is definitely WW1 issue. The US stamp is as strong and deep as any I have ever seen. There are some scratches on the front and rear. Magnify the pictures and you can see them.
The Warren Leather Co.trademark can be clearly read as well as the G.W.S. and the 1917 stamp. The weather flap actually makes apopping sound when you take iton and off because the hole and slit are so tight.
I have waited five years to sell this hoping I would get backmy 1911 A1 with a 1917 serial number that was stolen from my house.
