Magnificent Pair Of Victorian Bridal Mesh Bracelets Rose Cut Garnets &pearls1880:
I am pleased to present this truly fabulous pair of Victorian Companion Bracelets circa 1880s. They were given by grooms to brides during Victoria era, one at betrothal and the other on their wedding day. Not many have survived together. Most pairs were separated through the years and it is great to find the pair in such wonderful condition.
Each has a glorious centerpiece featuring a layered design making it beautifully dimensional. The centerpiece has an ornate repousse design and is embellished 6 with genuine rose cut Garnets and a seed pearl in the center. I have shown several photos for you to view the ornate design. The centerpiece measures ¾” by 5/8”. The mesh band measures 3/8” wide and 10-1/2” around including the foxtail fringe. The slide can be adjusted to fit any size wrist. Worn together on the wrist makes a spectacular presentation!
The bracelets are rolled gold which is a heavier layer of gold than gold filled and are in remarkable condition for their over 130 year age. The only place I see a bit of wear is on the back of the centerpiece and it is only slight on the edge. The band and fringe show only minor wear. All chains and bead ends are present. The front centerpiece is bright and all stones are excellent. They have been tested to be genuine garnets.
What an exquisite addition to your Victorian jewelry collection. Offered with no reserve. Thanks for looking!
