Man's Face Blackinton? Sterling Silver Match Safe Vesta Box Victorian Antique For Sale
Up for a sale is a very unique, original antique sterling silver match safe with a man's face on both sides! This is such a gorgeous and different match safe!! It reminds me of some of the match safes made by Blackinton, but I am unsure of the maker. The match safe is simply marked "Sterling" on the interior rim of the match safe (shown in pictures). The match safe measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/8". There is no monogram. There is a striker on the bottom. The match safe is in overall very good condition. The match safe has no splits, seam separations, holes or repairs. There are a few small dings on the corners and on one side of the match safe. The tension rod is intact, and the match safe snaps shut. This is a fine and very unique, antique collectible. Thank you for looking. Please send payment by paypal only within 3 days of the sale end.
