MARTIN Vintage Tenor Ukulele Uke Style 1
You are offerding on a MARTIN Vintage Tenor Ukulele Uke Style 1 in nice condition. This great vintage Martin ukulele is from the later 1940's through 1950's period. Typical Martin quality, voicing of ukes from this period. Uke is in nice used condition and structurally very sound. I have examined it very carefully, and there are no cracks anywhere, just scratches, dings, surface marks as seen in the pictures below (Note: The lighting I used for these pictures really accentuated the dings, etc. They are not near as pronounced when holding the uke in normal light. In other words, the uke looks better than the pictures show!)Here are some Specs on this ukulele:Size: Tenor Model: Style 1 Back/Sides/Top: Mahogany Nut: Ebony Bridge: Rosewood Fretboard: Rosewood Neck: Mahogany Bindings: Tortoise Strings: Aquila Nylgut (Low G)I have thoroughly cleaned the instrument, inside and out. Really pretty mahogany on these old Martin ukes. Great sounding ukulele! Fretboard is very nice, as are the nut, bridge (tight to the body) and saddle. Minor 1st position fret wear but plenty of life left. I removed the tuners for a thorough cleaning and they are in good shape. Just put a new set of Aquila Nylgut (Low G) strings on it, and this vintage Martin Tenor uke is ready for someone to play for many more years!Take a good look at the pictures and feel free to contact me with questions. No case with this uke, but it will be very securely packed - double boxed, well cushioned. Due to the wide price variance in the new USPS shipping rates to different parts of the country, I am using the Shipping Calculator to determine shipping cost as opposed to Flat Rate shipping (think this is fairer overall.) Shipment will also be fully insured. Also providing two methods to choose from - USPS Standard and USPS Priority. Thanks and Good Luck offerding!
