1950s Linemar “MARX” Atomic Reactor with Battery. This set has the original box which is in good
condition but does have some discoloration. The top right side of the box has a

punctures in the top of the box. One end
of the box has a 1/2” x 1-1/4” piece of the artwork missing and one side of the
box has a 1” tear which is difficult to see in the photos, but is there. The
bottom of the box has one frayed upper edge. Most of these problem areas are
visible in the photos. There is a list
of instructions for use and safety precautions printed on the side of the box
and one of the photos hasonly thisinformation. The reactor is clean with light discoloration
on the boiler from heat, and an area of corrosion about 1/8”x1/4” on the

missing. The battery compartment does not show any rust or discoloration. The
accessories - the funnel, measuring cup, fuel tray, fuel can, a small plastic
bottle, and the metal drain pan are included with the set. The fuel tray has a small area of corrosion. The
drain pan is missing some coating on the arms.
The small plastic bottle has a crack in the cap. The fuel can has some corrosion
on the top, bottom, and on the lid. The green litho ink on the fuel can has areas
of discoloration, as does the measuring cup. The Atomic Reactor itself is very
clean and does not appear to have been used often.
