This beautiful lady is a very rare find indeed! She just was released this weekfrom a private collector who owned her for decades.

After doing my homework, I determined she is aMary Todd Lincoln China Head Doll, circa 1860-70. I am not a antique specialist, however I workhard to find out as much as I can about my items, so please email me with anyquestions you may have about her BEFORE offerding, if you’re unsure.

She measures approximately 8.5” tall and shelooks to have her original clothing. Finewhite skin, rosy cheeks, blue eyes, flat top, high forehead, part in middle, curls on the side, ears covered, small pink lips, glazed porcelain head – chestand shoulders (upper torso), arms up to above the elbow, legs all the way up tothe knee. The rest of the body iscloth. She has her dress – I believe itto be her wedding dress, with panitlooms, and underneath skirt, with a big sashbow you can tie in the back. Her ruffledcollar has a string accent on top that is coming off a little – you can see inthe pictures. It looks like some of herstitching was pink, but may have faded over time. It’s more pink under the arms. She has pink bows painted into the glaze onher knees and on her left leg at the chin, there is a stamp that looks like a 1or T stamped into the glaze. She haspainted on black boots. She hasbeautiful little hands. She has a pearlnecklace. Her cloth body is very hard - not sure what it is stuffed with.

As you know, antiques are very old so thereare appearances of age over time. I willdo my best to describe anything I see – but please feel free to ask more photosif you have questions. She has a couple littlemarks on the very bottom of her hair, about the size of a pin needle where theblack hair paint has rubbed off. Verytiny. She also has a couple little marksrubbed off on her left cheek, very small as well. Her upper torso glazed body has a fewscratches and a very small chip. (seephotos).

Because I was not her owner, I don\'t have history of her repairs but it looks like she has had some repairs to her neckplate, possible repainting. Please view the last two photos. I have made the starting offer reflective of these items noted.

Please, please email me with any questions youmay have. She is a true gem and knowwhoever knows about these dolls will see what a true beauty she really is.

Thank you for looking!
