19th SEVRES PARIAN VINCENNES GLAZED WHITE FIGURE GROUP "LECON DE FLUTE" BOUCHER

Presenting an Amazingly Lifelike & Unspeakably Beautiful SEVRES PARIAN VINCENNES GLAZED WHITE BISQUE FIGURAL GROUP entitled "LECON DE FLUTE" ("The Flute Lesson") for your sale pleasure.

Modeled after a design by François Boucher (1703-70) andmanufactured by the Sèvres Factory C19th century, the lavishly decorated Rococo style piece is composed of handsculpted unglazed soft-paste biscuit porcelain.

This poignant Blanc De Chine Figure is the largest grouping I have ever personally owned, measuring approx. 10" tall X12" wide X 7 1/4" deep. The weight is a hefty 5 pounds 13 ounces.

Connoisseurs of these type wares readily recognize the quality of this exquisitely modelled & romantic grouping, with the four large masses of hand applied applique flower clusters and the other minute incised details. Note, even each individual fingernail & toenail has been fleshed out with careful artist attention.

This beautiful pastoralthemed figurine bears the "S crossed olive branches" mark of theSevres Porcelain Manufactory and the piece remains in generally excellent condition. The onlyminorflaw present isone small 1/2" bottom rim chip to the back footrim portion, as shown in images #13 & #14.

It remains otherwise undamed with no nicks or losses to the applique florals even. A stunning beautiful French figural group of the first order, you will certainly agree!!!
