Bijutsu Sekai is a highest in social status art magazine which published in Meiji 23(1890)-Meiji 28(1895) by WATANABE SEITEI with top carvers and printers.
Picture album series compiled by Watanabe Seitei introducing the works of well known artists of Meiji era.
The series included also the designs by Edo old masters. These designs were transferred to woodblock prints mostly from paintings.
