Up for sale is something truly UN-BULL-IEVABLE! This is an authenticated and graded ticket stub (1) from MICHAEL JORDAN’S FIRST EVER NBA GAME. As a sports collector for the past 30+ years, I’ve never ever found one of these either at the hundreds of card shows I’ve attended, nor in Sports Collector’s Digest and not even on . Actually, the only one I ever ever saw available is the one I sold on (seat #24) back in October 2006. I kept this one for myself and it’s seat number 23, another cool thing! Also, Oscar Garcia’s magnificent 308 page book “Collecting Michael Jordan Memorabilia” doesn’t have this item listed! Who knew at the time this would be the premier of greater things to come (I guess I did!).

I was at this game and in fact also have two game programs which I’ve listed in a separate sale, check them out!. It is a Ticketron stub (before the TicketMaster merger) I believe for the first balcony (maybe 2nd balcony) at the old Chicago Stadium, section P, row D, seat 23. A few years later I did have season tickets and yes have saved all of the ticket stubs too! The game is dated for October 26, 1984 at 7:30pm versus the Washington Bullets. In this game the Bulls won 109-93 and finished the season 38-44, 11 more wins than the previous season. Michael Jordan scored 16 points and had 9 rebounds and went on to win the rookie of the year award that season. The attendance that night was 13,913 – how many people saved their stubs for 28+ years?

The usher ripped it very neatly and there are no creases. It has been stored in a flat hard shell case forever. Please see the scans of both the front and back. I did pay $67.50 to have it authenticated and graded which is 10 times the face value of the ticket, wow! Anyway, I’m starting the sale with a $750 offer which is a touch more than the one I sold next to this back in 2006.
