and branched out from sculptural pieces (which utilized his own sculptures)
to include metal modern designs of unique and innovative characters.
The lighting competition of 1951 earned Heifetz global name recognition
and he moved to a bigger NY showroom by 1953. This lamp dates to that period 1952-3 when Heifetz introduced a number of articulating
designs, wall lamps and sconces that all feature brushed brass finish and triple perforations
in the shades. It\'s an absolutely amazing lamp that is extremely heavy to permit the most
outrageous, visual extensions of the super long brass jointed neck. This has to be the most
flexible and precise of desk lamps and the light can be placed within
a millimeter of the working surface!Heifetz lamps were scarce then and are outright rarities now. The designers who
worked with Heifetz were skilled engineers and Heifetz lamps are now
sought out for their beauty and ingenuity of design.In great condition with only light wear to the brushed brass - a rub mark near
the switch. Looks almost new. Incredible condition for the vintage!
