MILLIE THE MODEL, TWO SILVER ISSUES
We have many Professionally Graded examples to go by, and I compare my comics to the one nearest in appearance, backed up by Overstreet Grading instructions. As most of you know, grading is so darned subjective, that even the major grading houses disagree among themselves, so these is ONLY approximates from our 50+ years of collecting experience. The two Silver issues are:MILLIE THE MODEL number 152, August 1967, GD 4.0. This was the original way “Millie” was supposed to be, with artwork such as you find in romance comics, that is, very close to reality. It seemed to have originally aimed at the late teen-age early adult audience
MILLIE THE MODEL number 7, September 1968, GD 4.0. In a switch of artwork, the comic art is more in line with “Archie” comics, than with romance comics. The plots were more for starry eyed 11-15-year-olds. It has a ton of pin ups and posters, things that girls like.
But, the “Millie” series has held its monetary value very well over the years.
Both of these issues are firm but pliable, no loose covers. Both have eye-catching front covers.
