Mordan Porcupine Quill Pencil Propelling Mechanical Victorian Antique Writing:
This is for an oldVictorian mechanical pencil made by Sampson Mordan in the late 1800s. The pencil is a twist action pencil, in other words you twist themain barrrel and the lead nozzle emerges from the body of the pencil, you then twist the nozzle and the lead propels form the nozzle, orit would if the pencil worked properly, this one doesn't seem to propel any lead. It is a nice looking pencil though, this type of twist action quill is not at all common, so it is worthy of a repair, there is some wear to the very end of the pencil andthe usualtiny hairline in the quill as well. It measures 73mm when closed and 95mm when open.
