Made In 1977 Very Mystique Masaru Kohno #15 Classical Guitar In Mint Condition For Sale
1977 Masaru Kohno #15 in mint condition
This guitar was made in 1977 and is remains in practically mint cosmetic (I have found one pin-head size tiny dent on its back) and perfect functional condition. It smells like it has just left Masaru’s workshop.
Sound and overall quality of Masaru Kohno guitars is beyond any doubt superior to many much higher priced Spanish made guitars. Masaru Kohno’s international reputation and permanent place among World’s Luthiers Elite is well deserved. Therefore I am not going to deliberate and try to describe the sound produced by this guitar.
I will use just two words: VERY MYSTIQUE
Top: High Grade Solid Spruce
Back & Sides: Solid Latin America Rosewood
Neck: Mahogany with 2 ebony strips
Scale: 650 mm
Nut width: 52 mm
Action with original saddle is 5 mm under E6 and 4.5 mm under E1. I have made second saddle that sets action to 3.7 mm under E6 and 3.2 mm under E1, with almost no room to go lower. You can use original saddle and set the action your way.
This guitar is equipped with used Takamine Archtop Hrard Shell case in at excellent condition (except for its originally golden hardware, that has somewhat faded).
Shipment within USA is free of charge only to lower 48 states.

All international deliveries from USA are serviced by Pitney Bowes Co. located in state of Kentucky. US sellers ship packages to Kentucky and from there they are Pitney Bowes’s responsibility. This company is very well organized and effective in what they do. They take care of all necessary paperwork for you.
If you purchase a guitar from me, will send you an invoice with total amount including shipping cost. After you pay, PayPal will send you a receipt with address of Pitney Bowes in Kentucky. Don’t panic, your address will appear on the label shipped from Kentucky to you.
This calculated shipping cost is the maximum that you can pay. In some circumstances in can later be lower and you get a partial refund. To get such calculated shipping rates you need to go to “payments and shipping” sub-page on my posting page, enter your country and zip code and click on the “calculate” button. Naturally you may need to pay some taxes and custom duties regulated by the laws of your country. These are paid most likely as COD (check on delivery).
If you are not happy with your purchase you may return the guitar for a full refund. All you need to do is to:
1. Notify me within 5 days after delivery
2. Pack guitar the same way I do it, using the same box and materials
3. Ship it back to me within next 2 days
Another words I expect this “trail” period to occur within +/- 7 days. Naturally guitar has to be returned in the same condition as I ship it to you. This is simply honest offer for honest buyers. My goal is to make your purchase as risk free as possible. I know very well that spending $1000 of hard earned money is not emotionally easy undertaking for majority of guitar lovers. I am sure that reading my response can ease a bit your “purchase anxiety” but it still will be there no matter how hard I try.
