Made In Occupied Japan Asian Boy Wearing Hat Holding Fan Shelf Sitter For Sale
MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN
ASIANBOY WERING HATWITH FAN
Made in Occupied Japan
I purchased several box lots from the estate of an antique dealer. In
the box lots were several shelf sitters, many of them made in Occupied Japan. I
am listing the shelf sitters singly as I am not sure which ones make up a mated
pair. You might want to check my storePACKRAT PALACE for a possible mate. This piece measures approx.5 inches from head to toe. Please review the photos to assess the quality and condition of this highly collectible piece.
"Made in Occupied Japan" goods were made
during a definite time frame, 1945 to 1952." Made for export to the U.S., they
were produced during a time of rebuilding for Japanese industry following the
end of World War II.
This piece has the crude paint job that made
"Made in Occupied Japan" a buzz phrase for junk items in the postwar years.
