MAGNIFICENT 19th CENTURY ANGLO-INDIAN CAMPAIGN CXABINET CHEST OF DRAWERS
Description:A stunningly beautiful antique early 19th century Anglo-Indian solid Rosewood \'Campaign\' cabinet over chest circa 1830, the upper section with carved pronounced cornice above carved floral frieze over twin doors with arched and glazed panels with brass surrounds opening to reveal two shelves within, the upper section heavily carved allover in typical style. The lower two section, comprising of two small drawers over three graduated drawers, each with inlaid sunken brass campaign handles and standing on turned feet. The cabinet is profusely carved and decorated in typicalform and is of fine colour and patina throughout, thedrawer fronts in the form of stylised sunbursts, the \'Sunburst or Surajmukhi\' is a typical symbol of the state of Gujarat signifying prosperity and wealth, the cabinet comes in three sections making moving easier, comes with one working key and tassel, please note this is a solid and heavy piece of furniture that will require two fairly strong people to move into place.
