Truly one of a kind mid-20th Century Chinese hand-carvedJadeite sculpture ofchildrenhaving fun and doing all sorts of things. The subject matter of the carving is excellent and very heart warming. The jade is perfect for a large office or used as home decoration. The quality and workmanship of the jade is such that anyone who sees the jade will just love the piece. The carving is very well done and each child is uniquely made. Thechildrenare playing underneath tall mountains with large leaves, fruits, trees and villages above them. Please look at the pictures. The jade is carved from one solid piece and must weigh hundreds of pounds. The color tone of the jade is excellent with hues oflavenderand green all over. The age of the carving is 20th Century and for its age in great condition. The wood base however is in fair condition and has slightly been damaged through the ages.
